Service Description

Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic yoga practice that links breath to movement and promotes strength, flexibility and focus. Sequences include sun salutations, seated, standing and inverted postures as well as balancing. Restorative and Yin yoga offer the participant an opportunity to slow down and be supported by props with longer held shapes and stretches that soothe the body, mind and spirit. Expect a nurturing class with creative sequencing, clear cueing, alignment focus, and awareness of breath, body and the present moment. This all levels class offers modifications for beginners and those with injuries as well as advanced options. About the instructor Rya’s Yoga journey began with a deep love for movement, which evolved into a lifelong commitment to nurturing the mind, body and spirit. With decades of experience and a tenured career as a professional modern dancer and choreographer, Rya has learned the importance of steadiness and ease (Sthira and Sukha), both on and off the mat. Her classes are more than just a series of movements- they are transformative experiences designed to nourish the whole being. Rya is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher, E-RYT 200, RYT-500, YACEP.
