A deep listening ritual
This is an immersive sound experience centered around a 36” gong - an instrument most people have never encountered at full scale. The gong is a vast field of vibration: waves, overtones, silences, drones and sudden openings that move through the body as much as the ears. It’s so much more than just the big “bong” sound you might imagine.
As a professional musician, I approach this as listening made active, a space where sound supports rest, release, and recalibration of the nervous system. The gong can be gentle and grounding or intense and expansive. Often it’s all of these within the same session.
